Ahmaad Moses named ACC Defensive Back of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (SMU) – SMU safety Ahmaad Moses was named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Defensive Back of the Week in a release by the conference on Tuesday.

In last week's 42-13 victory over East Texas A&M, Moses was explosive on the Mustang defense, registering four solo tackles and a 95-yard interception return touchdown. The defensive touchdown was the second and longest of his career.

This is the second time Moses has been selected for this honor. The safety earned the recognition last season after tallying a career-high two interceptions, one resulting in a 60-yard touchdown, in the 66-42 win over TCU on Sept. 21.

Before the 2025 season began, Moses was named to many accolades including Phil Steele's Preseason All-ACC Second Team, Athlon Sports' All-ACC First Team, the Senior Bowl Top 300 List and the East West Shrine Bowl 1000 List.
