GW hasn't done didly squat since Jarvis left.Even the greatness that is Tom Penders couldn't equal Jarvis' success. There's a name for ya. Tom Penders! Is he still coaching? I wouldn't mind that guy either.

Jarvis won at American and George Washington. I think SMU has more tradition than those schools. AU and GW are the 5th and 6th choices for solid east coast recruits. The east coast McDonald All Americans don't even consider those schools. Jarvis led those schools to multiple NCAA and NIT bids.

I say Mike Jarvis. I wish SMU had the cahones to go after guys like this.

For Bball talent I'd put Houston in with all those cities too. Dement just can't get those players to come to SMU. Bhop is the exception because he also signed his brother.

I heard during the 70's and 80's we used to recruit nationally in fball. But we were a lot better back then. IN BBALL I personally think we don't get enough in state talent. UT gets the best bball recruits in the state then Arizona, Duke,and UConn raid the rest. SMU should be signing the Okafors ...

I was really excited about SMU pursuing him. But if Dement can get this team playing consistently. Maybe just maybe they can get to the NCAAs and Dement can get a new contract.
