Re: WOW! Calipari to get $52M for 7 years
Yes Calipari was caught at UMASS and Memphis. Don't remember the specifics, but I am pretty sure Derrick Rose didn't take his own SAT. Whatever you do don't bring up any recruiting violations. Don't say anything bad about Calipari. Not here. Whatever you do don't bring up Calipari's inability to ...

Re: WOW! Calipari to get $52M for 7 years
I comprehend all your posts just fine, thanks. First you tell me he is a great coach because he can do more with more. Now you recognize that Kentucky had a bad regular season with 7 talented Freshmen. I guess in your eyes that is the players' fault. Let's chalk it up to growing pains. Probably has ...

That is a very good analogy. Mack Brown --> John Calipari. Think about that OBF.

Let's don't even bring up Duke. No comparison there. Duke is Top 10 Team almost every year, year round. Duke does not slip to #24 in the AP, or not make the NCAA Tournament. Duke is not a #9 Seed. Duke ...

Nothing personal here, just hopefully having a healthy discussion. Again, we can agree to disagree.
So a #9 Seed in the NCAA Tournament is an acceptable seed for a loaded Kentucky Team in your eyes? Last year's team under performed all year and got hot in the tournament. I guess ...

I don't dwell on his one year of missing the NCAA Tournament. That was 2013. This year 2014 Kentucky Team was a #9 Seed in the big dance. Almost missing the tournament last year. You seem to want to forget this point. Kentucky should be a #1 or #2 seed every year.

Get over yourself. I do not hate Calipari. I guess we just think differently about #9 Seeds in the NCAA Tournament. To me a #9 Seed from a major conference almost didn't get in the tournament. I guess for you it is ok for Kentucky to miss the NCAA Tournament like they did 2 years ago and ...

I guess we can just agree to disagree about our opinions of Coach Cal and his coaching ability. You were completely right about Tubby Smith and Billy Gillespe showing up at Kentucky after Pitinio, but before Calipari. My mistake. Honestly, I totally forgot about Tubby Smith and Gillespe ...

Re: WOW! Calipari to get $52M for 7 years
How would you compare Coach Cal's coaching skills vs Larry Brown or Coach K? I guess I am a bigger fan of a coach who can do more with less vs a coach who does not coach his players up to their potential. Kentucky always has the hype, always has the McDonald's All-Americans every year, but I really ...

Re: WOW! Calipari to get $52M for 7 years
Was that Coach Calipari who coached the USA Olympic Team to Gold? No. That was Coach K. Where does Coach K coach again? Duke. Was Coach Calipari even asked to be on the coaching staff for the Olympics? No. What team did Coach Cal coach in the Olympics or maybe it was the World Games (who cares ...

Re: WOW! Calipari to get $52M for 7 years
Gee, how can I criticize Cal and his coaching? Truth is that with the talent on his Kentucky teams Cal should be winning consistently and winning big. Like I said give the same team to a real coach, Larry Brown, and Kentucky would probably play up to their potential.

Really just curious here with my questions, what am I missing? Not trying to start anything...
1) Why wouldn't the NCAA come down on UNC?
2) How can the NCAA not come down [deleted] UNC?
3) How much more blatant does a program have to act to get punished by the NCAA?
Professors were ...

Down goes UNC!!!
Yes, UNC has been investigated by the NCAA and the media for the past few years (basketball and football), but I really wonder why Rashad McCants would go public with the specifics of how UNC was essentially giving passing grades to kids. Rashad McCants even said that he made the Dean's List at UNC ...
