Re: Who will be our next head coach?

HCCM had many HC jobs offered while at Clemson. He chose SMU because we offered a significant salary increase, competitive salaries for assistants so he could a decent staff, and a recruiting budget that allowed for him to recruit ( tempo copter, social media and video staff etc.), plus it was in ...

Re: Jeff Traylor

B/c he has zero experience recruiting in the state of Florida. Traylor is an East Texas guy.

I'm well aware Jeff is from East Texas. I just inquired if any of you had any insight on whether Charlie offered Jeff to join him in USF. Jeff/Chad likely had this deal in-the-works months ago and thus ...

Re: Jeff Traylor

THIS IS HUGE!! On Dec 9/16 as Texas was going thru their Coaching change I posted on here that Chad should go after Traylor. I believe this hire is a stronger hire than either Coordinator!! I have followed him for a long time and couldn't understand why Herman didn't keep him. Regardless, Hermans ...

Re: Coaching Staff

We need to hire Daric Riley full time or whatever it is, does anyone know his exact status? I think he's an 'advisor' or something because of some kind of limitation we had. Hope that lifts as I think he's a pretty good ST coach (I don't think he's been allowed to coach in game or something like ...

He was a HS QB, but is being recruited as an ATH. I've heard he is a big talent. It will be interesting to see where we use him.

Re: David Moore

Morris would have taken him all day long, if he hadn't gone to Memphis. All the rest is just hindsight chatter. On the one hand we're to believe Morris is great at recruiting and evaluation.....but on the other hand he just realized this was a bad kid and dumped him less than a week before signing ...

I think that title belongs to Carmouche. I know he wants to play RB but I'm hopeful we see him at LB sooner than later.

True. He is a huge get for us as well.

Backed off? I thought SMU was going to take him if he had not gone to Memphis this past weekend. And it was up to Moore on if he wanted to go or not.[/quote]

I'm thinking what CoxMustangFan wrote holds some weight. The issues BeaverNation reported ...

MAybe Coach Morris was unaware of what Beaver Nation said if it is even true. I would not question Coach Morris recruiting like that though.

Re: David Moore

While I may be in the minority with what I am about to say, oh well. Aside from the "possible" issues with Moore, I am of the opinion that it is not necessarily a bad thing to not have a 2016 QB commit. First of all , you already have at least 4 QB's on scholarship, Davis will get every opportunity ...
