As the season has progressed, SMU's program has regressed
to a point that makes it highly unlikely that they possess the
capability of derailing a team like Houston. Both Tulsa and
Southern Mississippi would seem to pose a much greater threat
to the Cougars.

In point of fact, Houston really hasn't play anyone who was
worth a damn. If SMU could demonstrate that they have any
cojones...they could win that game.

Re: Possibility of another Iron Skillet match up at the Ford
The more pertinent question being; just how much longer will this
annual series between TCU-SMU survive? Will the rigors of scheduling
allow for only occasional meetings? Much like the current scheduling
with Texas Tech and Baylor. The times they are a-changin'.

And Louisville is set to follow suit shortly thereafter.
Cincy is also remains a distinct possibility. This will

Re: Rice to Spend $40 Million on Deferred Maintenance
It's surprising, that the $40 million commitment to refurbish Rice Stadium
is only a little less than the total amount that SMU spent in constructing
Ford Stadium. Of course, Rice's stadium is constructed of concrete, while
Ford is composed of aluminum bleachers covered with a brick facade.
