Re: Borrowed recruiting information
I wouldn't focus too much on Carl. I don't see him being a great match for SMU.

Re: Borrowed recruiting information
Matt Owens is of course from our neck of the woods. I've seen him play a few times and he looked pretty solid on both sides of the ball. But he really seemed to be a good run-stopper at DT.
I haven't been able to interview him yet for our site. But I do have his pic and vitals (from his coach ...

Re: Recruiting Question
He's a defensive end from Clear Creek which is in League City (about halfway between Houston & Galveston on I-45).
He gave a verbal commitment to Texas back in May/June before deciding he wasn't ready to commit afterall. He's debating between Texas and UCLA who have both offered.

I haven't talked to Kelon in several months as I try to get interviews completed with everyone on our site before I really start hitting players again. But I will keep everyone posted on his goings on in the coming weeks & months.

Phil Fan -- I'm not big on comparing high school kids to pro or college guys. But I can link you to a free profile of Marcus from Billy Liucci:

Austin High QB Nathan Kreutz
I caught up with Austin High's QB Nathan Kreutz (6'0" 170 lbs 4.57) Sunday evening and here's his updated bio following a very busy camp season:
Nathan's had to be patient for his opportunity to step forward and become the unquestioned starting quarterback for Austin High. But he has managed to ...

Re: Defensive end
Thanks for covering me on the list, Guru.
One name on that list that really jumps out at me that I've seen in person is Foreman. The kid can really take over a ballgame. I've been really surprised that he's not been chased as much as I would have expected. The kid can flat out play.

Re: Defensive end
There are roughly 10-12 quality DEs being actively recruited right now as major prospects across the state with most being listed as Top 100 players overall in Texas by various talent evaluators.

Re: Defensive end
By all indications, this is a terrific year for DEs in the state. UT and A&M will get theirs as always, but there should be plenty of quality DEs to go around to everybody this February.

Re: Wide Receivers
I've caught Ingraham in person a couple of times and he's really impressed. There's no arguing that his speed is less than optimal, but the kid has great hands and knows how to use his long bady to get up for balls. If the kid can learn to run precise routes, there's no reason to believe he can't ...
