It is interesting to me that JJ has gone with BLM and has chosen to stay with him despite his play through the first three games. I think JW or LT would have done better but that leads me to believe JJ has sold the farm and put all his money on BLM good or bad.

JW will never play QB at SMU again ...

Those "star ratings" are given out by same kind of "experts" that roam these message boards.

What I think will happen and what he deserves are two different things. I never said he didn't deserve the chance, nor did I call him a failure. I have no "agenda", I just have an opinion. By the way, I do have children, none at SMU but I do have kids. Can we get back to football, spring training is ...

I am pro-Turner and have followed him for much of his career. I also know his dad and how he coached Logan. I am not anti-Willis but think he is wasting a great opportunity with his failure to keep the outside stuff from messing up a bright future. He is a good football player and has every right to ...

That's probably why you're on a fan message board and he is a DI college QB. That is not taking care of business, he hurt himself and his team, not to mention a win in the game he was suspended would probably meant a bowl. And that is one of many issues on and off the field.

I certainly do not mean to "bash" any player, that position tends to bring a little more opinion out of people. He is not nor should any QB be the entire offense. Great offensive teams have a guy that can lead, raise every one else's level of play and get the ball in the endzone without all the ...

This entire situation rides on what Willis does. It is not his ability it is his dependability. One of those true freshmen will not be able to handle that job, especially without a spring. I see Willis, Turner and Rhoades competing this spring for the job. If Willis doesn't get the job, for whatever ...

I know he was a very good HS baseball player at Denton Ryan. I think he did have a fastball clocked in the low 90's. That was three years ago and I doubt he has been playing much baseball but he could bring it.

i guarantee all the qbs will benefit from Jones and I can also guarntee Willis is far from "a lock" as the starter. He better be ready for more competition than I think he wants

I agree with you diamond. I am not even sure it is a lock for him to be there this spring and I doubt Mitchell is the starter after Willis

Willis will not be the QB next year, Turner is better right now. Benett rolled the dice and hoped Justin would continue to improve despite all his baggage but it didn't work and it cost him his job. I will say it would have been hard to go with a true freshman with your job on the line. When spring ...

Logan is there and I believe he is attending all summer workouts at SMU. He will miss a couple of days due to the allstar game but, it is good for the program and recruiting for SMU to allow their players to participate.
