Re: GAME THREAD: MBB vs. Cincinnati

Man. A good team started out hot at home. Playing catch-up on the toad is hard for any team. I'm wonder about the rotation next time out. Did Agunanne play down the stretch when it was out of reach, or was that a message to Jasey and Clark?

Grades still matter at SMU.

Good for him. I wish it worked out for him at SMU.

This sucks, but don't belittle Ali. He's a damn good player. I assumed he was going pro.

Re: A little More Detail on Tech QB Situation

I'll believe it when I see it.

As someone who has had back issues for years, I hope he feels better -- after watching his team lose to the Mustangs, of course!

Re: State Traditions: SMU Apparel

To hell with that. No "SMU" or mustang logo means nothing worth buying.

Re: Depth Chart?

I always wonder how accurate these things are. If I were a coach, I would lie about every player at every position.

Re: Margus with one sack and three tackles vs. Cowboys

I thought the other way: I thought he went pretty hard all the time, but didn't always know where to go (because of his lack of experience, I guess).
Glad to see him sack a Cowboy QB!

Re: Richard Crawford Waived

That sucks. I know it's "just business" by the team, but if he doesn't get brought back, that's a low-class move. Once in a while, doing the right thing by a player is more important. It's not like dumping him saves big money. He's on a minimum contract, isn't he?

Re: BRAYLON HYDER: Ready for the next step

I like the size and athleticism, but what I really like is the comments about his mean streak. You can't let emotion take away from technique and attention to assignments, but someone who enjoys destroying the guy in front of him sure helps.

Re: Brown to Nets?

Screamin' A. Smith is one of the most annoying people on TV, and one of the most annoying anywhere. He also is very tied in with the Nets' front office and has loads of contacts around the league. He did a piece on ESPN about how Larry Brown "will get a call" along with Phil Jackson and Brian Shaw ...

Coakley and Fletcher were only 5'10" when they got to list their own heights.
Joyner and Pope are just fine in the middle.

Interesting that the blogger in that first link blames Gilbert. I remember the receivers dropping a lot of very catchable passes.

DJ made a ton of catches, though. Hope he sticks in Atlanta.
