Re: SMU commit passes
What a terrible time for all concerned. Enough to know he died and hope the family will recover.

Re: Norm to tell why SMU football HC is not a good job
Frankly, if I were a coach looking for a job anywhere near Dallas, this job would certainly be a better one than the one offered from time to time by Dallas' own P.T. Barnam - Jerry Jones.

Re: Holding Call was the dagger
I'd love an explanation of the call. It's the second such call I've seen where either e defender or RB has been called for a hold because of someone bights on a fake?

Refreshing!
Listening to and watching the JJ post-game interview, I can't tell you how refreshing it is to listen to a man - a football teacher - simply use the language and speak. No coach speak, wild-eyed lunacy. He is as close to a football version of John Wooden - at least in his approach to "teaching" the ...

Re: Hal Jay loves SMU
Hadn't read this since I posted it. But, leave it to SMU posters to take a positive and crap on it. Estridge and Jay usually take every opportunity possible to promote and say good things about SMU and FORD. Somehow you guys can't stand or take good coverage. Estridge is co-host on the morning show ...

Hal Jay loves SMU
In a fun piece following a piece on the Big 10 expanding to 100 teams, Europe and the Orient, Hal Jay made an impassioned plea for the Big 12 to add BYU, TCU and SMU. Brian Estridge rather Poo Poo'd SMU. But, Hal was adamant - over U of Houston.

Re: Question for those that saw the game
The catch toward the end - long ball caught on the 1 yard line - makes up for several drops. Many of the pros are losing that ball when the hit the ground. Great technique to pull the ball in to avoid the ground causing the ball to pop out.

Since the early days of the BLVD we were told we could bring our alchohol to tailgate. But, the containers - beer cans, bottles, booze bottles, etc. - could not be out and visible. As long as we poured what we were drinking in a cup of some sort, everyone was happy. We've operated very well under ...

Should a college kicker make it from the 25 - 35 yeards? Probably. Do they miss, even from the 3? Absolutely! Is adding 15 highly questionable yeards to the effort a factor? Well it would certainly seem so to me - both in the effort by the kicker, the line being asked to block and the emational lift ...
