Re: What happened to Wood and Briggs?

Do we know severity of injuries. Didn't hear anything about Briggs. Did he suit up?

Re: Over 50% of the SMU football commits have P5 offers

I'm sure this has been hashed out b4, but, in fairness to facts, the timing of our Big East offer was before it imploded (catholic 7 still in tact) which likely influenced Larry's interest in our university significantly since it would have been with out question a bcs caliber basketball conference ...

Re: Analysis of the accuracy of the recruiting services

Agree, such a small sample of kids had p5 offers I am not sure this tells you much. Look At this in a couple years when we have 30 kids on roster with p5 and then we will see. You have to like what ccm is doing regardless

Re: Our new Receiving Core

Also, I think too many new coaches run too many kids off too quickly and it ends up hurting the overall morale and chemistry of the team (particularly if run off best performers from the past). For 2MM per year I don't think we are going to take a 3 year flyer on results so Chad will need 25-30 kids ...

Re: Our new Receiving Core

I think what everyone is saying about Chad's type of players is spot on but I think we need to calm down a tad before we discuss running a kid off the team that has close to 200 career D1 receptions. These WR commitments are clearly talent upgrades out of high school that presumably fit our new ...

Re: Late offers

I mean why didn't Baylor offer him before the Tech flip - didn't they originally go after President over Hicks who was down the street. Just curious, was he a late bloomer his senior year that we stole just in time?

Re: Other Games

IU proving that its all about the guards. They have 5 shooters on the court a lot of times. I said at the time I didn't think we should expect to win that game. That Blackmon kid was ranked about 5 spots behind Emanual in last year's rankings and Yogi Ferrell was a top 25 player in 2012 coming out ...

Re: Factoids I Bet You Didn't Know

Can we all grow a pair and recognize that modern college basketball is more corrupt than early 80s SWC football and you have to expect some of this when competing in the big leagues. I agree with Stallion, next man up -that said, an injury at this point could devastate this team.

wow, so much for wanting to mentor a former colleague. I thought it was really good to have one gray hair on staff with serious coordinator experience - makes me a little nervous, but its the jimmys and joes that will make the difference.

Re: QB Everett Golson Transferring from ND

Bingo footballdad, that is where most of the Golson hate comes from - his ND uniform. Make no mistake, he has a turnover problem, but if you watch him you know he can make all the throws. Don't be surprised if this kid is on a NFL roster at some point, although he is small. That said, I doubt Coach ...

Re: 2015 AAC Schedule

These home conference games will be ghost towns if we don't show some positives in non con. Beat Unt and compete for 2-3 quarters against Baylor or tcu. Hate to sound impatient but I think that is reality at SMU right now in the watered down American.

Just turned it on and came immediately here to post when I saw your thread. Yeah, we need to not be so [deleted] ourselves. We had 6 X as many fans for the same opponent on Thanksgiving Eve the night after a tough loss to arky.

Why are these kids going to A&M and Baylor over Larry - its not the ...

Re: Future SMU OOC

I've said this before on other sites, but I agree with Stallion that crappy P-5's won't draw fans in Dallas (I don't consider Ole Miss crappy, but the others mentioned I do). We need two decent OOC gate draws each year. UNT is good enough to satisfy the draw, don't think UTSA would be though. So, if ...
