I can't understand how La Tech and our peers can recruit better talent than SMU. Other teams go from 0-10 tp 10-0 in a couple of seasons and we are in year 30+. I'm hopeful Sonny is our Patterson.
Snobby SMU culture plays a much bigger role in recruiting and perception than many on here want to ...

Re: Was The Rise Real?
Excellent post Mex. I do not know what happens behind the scenes. All I know is that anyone looking can see that June came here excited, and left depressed and hating the school. His son even posted itΓÇÖs the worst football school in America. I was shocked that SMU bent over and took the probation ...

At least we didnΓÇÖt miss 1 Extra point a game under June

I remember that game. They shut them down in the first half.

Re: Silver Linings
I rewatched part of it last night (I was at the game and wanted to see what was said on TV). Felt bad for Sonny. There was a lot of hope and optimism at first, especially in his pre game interview. Even several minutes into the game when we were only down by 7, there was still a lot of excitement ...
Re: Disaster
Now that some time has gone by, I actually think the positives outweigh the negatives last night (barely). I think people, especially the ones that donΓÇÖt really follow us, have really short memories. Now he knows way more about his team than any other first year coach would.

I really don't want to think about Bryce Wilds in a Whipped Cream Bikini.
Lol, I was referring to the heavy drinking the night before the game at the gentlemanΓÇÖs club scene.
Re: Disaster
While watching the game I could not understand how the offense could suck that bad. It finally made sense when the announcers revealed that Malone had been helping "prepare the offense". We achieved our goal of balance with the offense being just as lousy as the defense.

Re: Disaster
Also, Spring ball and Fall camp need to be conducted down in Junction, Texas. No pads, and I'll leave now to go seed the practice fields with several tons of goat head stickers. I'm thinking that's what it will take to find out who really wants to play and be WINNERS!
Amen to that. I hope HCSD ...
