Yep. Bakersfield and Santa Barbara will both be tough games. They'll have three point snippers which always give us trouble.
Hopefully this is a thing of the past, now that we are long and athletic across the board.

Junior wrote:This may be a dumb question, but why did none of the WR's wear gloves? For either team.
Rain actually makes those gloves really slippery. Easier to catch with bare hands when its raining. You would think with today's technology they would figure out how to make some gloves that help in the rain.
Re: 10-3
The problem is that June seems to be content with just getting his wins against crappy CUSA opponents, so he can say he had a winning season and made it to another bowl game. How are we ever going to fill the stands if we can't compete at a higher level? All starts with recruiting, and June has ...

Gotcha.
FWIW, I semi-disagree about Ford. It's a beautiful stadium that UAB's proposed (but now killed) stadium would have been based on. However, the lack of height of the stadium does make it feel smalltime.
Lack of height has nothing to do with it. It is the lack of fans that makes it ...

Offer them early. Gives us our best chance
Offering early is important, but I think its even more important to stay on top of the kid. Seems like we have a history of being the first to offer, and then a year later we read a story about the kid committing elsewhere and when asked about SMU the ...

Duke Documentary
I know this doesn't have to do with SMU football, but this board gets the most traffic so wanted to post here. A friend of mine produced a great documentary on Duke basketball from the 91/92 seasons. If you enjoyed the documentaries on the Fab 5 at Michigan as well as the show on UNLV hoops, then ...

Not some burnout that is happy to go the Hawaii bowl each year....
I hope you JJ lovers saw today how bad our talent was, bad recruiting, bad offense, we need to let JJ ride off in the sunset back to Hawaii.
Look, we are committed to football, we have a blank check..but to waste it on June Jones ...

SMU-Tulsa
Line moved from +4 to +3...thoughts?
I'm nervous about this game. Really hope our players are able to respond well after the beat down last week. Injuries/suspensions concern me. Fingers crossed McDermott stays healthy, because we are f'd if he goes down.

Re: Ucf game
Get SMU to start serving booze to the whole stadium, not just club level.
Re: Ucf game
One other thought....SMU sends out that email advertising the ticket packages you can buy for $10 a ticket, with minimum purchase of 25 tix. I'm going to try and get my company to buy a bunch and offer them to the employees. Great atmosphere for people to take their families, and easy way to fill ...

I really like the idea of someone from the school driving around the boulevard loop with an air horn or something. Do they still have the squires? Maybe those guys could do it?
