The 2nd place team in the Pac-12 did not get in and the 9th place team in the Pac 12 is in the tournament.
One could argue that the injuries to Shake and Foster kept not only SMU but also USC out of the NCAA tournament.
For the Trojans, the SMU loss went from a "good" loss to a "bad" loss. That ...

Re: Official: SMU vs. UCONN Thread
Thought I would just bump this thread rather than starting a new one...for the women who once again were crushed by a dominant UConn team yesterday. Tough way for the seniors to go out as they were outscored 32-1 in 2nd quarter when this one got completely out of control. Question is whether 5 or 6 ...

It was actually worse than that. The run from the middle of the first quarter, until halftime, was 45-1. The 1 point was a free throw with 15 seconds left in the first half. No field goals for more than 15 minutes. At the point that we got our free throw, their run was 43-0.

Re: Who's our DC Coach, nowm
June benched his upperclassman because the other players refused to play with a player they felt cost their prior coach his job when he had a fight and couldn't travel to UTEP, a win that would have given Bennett another year. And in particular because he had a catfight with his male lover.

Why no mention of Alicia Froling? I must have missed something because she didn't play in this game. Still on the roster? Hurt? Somebody who follows the women's program know?

Fair enough, but coming back to school wont change the "Tweener status", or make him any younger. If age is an issue, he's better off taking his chances this year.

Good weather today for hosting someone from Canada, sunny and warm, but not too hot. Still kind of chilly and grey up in that area.

How were they to know the whole "class optional" thing would be an issue for anyone?
Its even more alarming that Louisville isn't shut down. Basically running a prostitution ring for your players is about as slimy as it gets.

so the biggest infusion of young redshirt, transfer and new talent in 30 years on the Hilltop and apparently nobody gives a damn about the first open scrimmage.

Re: Transfer market
Does anyone know the rules regarding 'recruiting' transfers? Does a school have to wait until someone announces that they are transferring to be in contact? Can a school be in contact or does can the student contact them only?

Re: FWIW
My biggest concern is lack of height. Fooling is dirk ish - not a banger, which leaves basically nobody to bang against the other teams beast. There are teams that will exploit that - we are going to have to play about as fast as anyone can play and just wear the big guys out, cause there isn't ...
