i know i haven't yet. so a curse: may all of the chocolate chips in your cookies turn out to be raisins. and may your cookie always be too large to fit in your glass of milk.

Re: Dallas NCAA Games "Hosted By Big 12"

okay. i''ll one more fact to show why i am unhappy. the owners of the WNBA Wings are also majority owners of NBA OKC Thunder. How would this affect our program - having NBA owners at moody? Lost/missed opportunities. how would this affect recruiting? okay is it Oklahoma, LOL. think it would affect ...

Re: Plano Campus

Okay, i'll get on my high horse again... LOL) so why are the b-school classes so large? we do not get a nickle for any undergraduate student. if the school was more like UTD, we would expand undergraduate majors and education. I have friends at UTD, and they get money for each undergraduate - so ...

Re: Dallas NCAA Games "Hosted By Big 12"

okay... i'm going to vent, so y'all can ignore me. i see the WMBA as another opportunity for SMU to step up on the national stage (let alone what it would do for our WBB team) that was missed. this is not the only one. forget about the donations, getting people on campus - how would this help ...

Re: Dallas NCAA Games "Hosted By Big 12"

this is not surprising to me at all. i was told by one of the partners of the Dallas wings (WNBA team) that they approached SMU (Moody) to be the location for the team. SMU turned them down, even though SMU was offered a 7 figure donation to make it happen, so now they are at UT-Arlington. don't ...

I agree, why not? builds good intentions between the schools. besides, we are not using it and are probably getting more than $1 in rent.

Re: Plano Campus

I completely agree with 1017... we are trying to teach our kids (I am old enough to call them kids, LOL) to think, critical thinking... this is the key to a university education vs a trade school. that said, i think that our undergraduates are better than our graduate students (i talked with a ...

Re: 2018 NCAA selection

got it. i was going to edit the post. however, they are a 4 seed. something is really fishy with this year's set of teams. as noted above the #2 team was left out, but #9 let in. what about 3-8?

Re: 2018 NCAA selection

The 2nd place team in the Pac-12 did not get in and the 9th place team in the Pac 12 is in the tournament.

One could argue that the injuries to Shake and Foster kept not only SMU but also USC out of the NCAA tournament.

For the Trojans, the SMU loss went from a "good" loss to a "bad" loss. That ...

brand bias

watching the temple/tulane game. the announcers have spent a lot of time discussing how the AAC has gotten the short stick due to brand bias. For instance, why is Oklahoma in many brackets given their last few games? one of the announcers argues that SMU and UCF were better choices due to injuries ...

Re: OFFICIAL vs UCONN (AAC tourney) thread 3/8/2018

nice win by the team today!) i think our strategy has to be to be up by 20 at the half, up by 15 with 10 left in the second. and hit the FT's. agau and emu had great days! hopefully, they can repeat for tomorrow.

seems as though we are shooting better (>50%)... lead vacillates between 3-7 points for us

Re: OFFICIAL vs UCONN (AAC tourney) thread 3/8/2018

i agree, but am not very hopeful. IMHO, one of the biggest problems we have of late (besides injuries) is that we are running rotations that have not been practicing together, and that have not been used to playing large number of minutes. given that we do not have 10 healthy players, it is tough to ...

Re: Official: USF vs SMU game thread

I lay the last few losses on the S&C coach (do we have one?). Even the announcers noted that the team lost their legs and were shooting "short" due to exhaustion. the kids are doing their best, but have not been prepared for all of these minutes.
