Re: UCF AD: new AAC TV deal will put league on par w/P5

I like the optimism in Orlando, but I'm not sure I buy it

Take the heavyweights (Alabama, Florida State, Ohio state, Oklahoma, etc.) Out of it. In a restaurant or airport bar, a casual fan will check out at least part of a South Carolina-Kentucky game, or any Arizona-Oregon State game. I would love ...

PSU sanctions "worse than Death Penalty"

What a pile of crap.

Several analysts have said this list of sanctions against State Penn "could be worse than the Death Penalty." Seriously?

We had no games for two years.
We fielded a team of kids who got the crap beaten out of them, even though they were (are) the toughest group of players ever ...

Re: Zach Line Named C-USA Preseason Offensive Player of the

Two things:

1) How the hell is Ja'Gared Davis not on the first-team defense?

2) I want to see Zach Line win this same honor at the END of the season!

At least part of this, I assume, is the long-rumored move of director of basketball operations Brion Raven to a position as assistant women's coach at UTA.
Good luck, Brion.

If we end up "stuck" with Nyle Johnson, Arrius Holleman, Ronnell Sims and Darius Joseph, that's a hell of a class of WRs.

Re: Southern Miss losing defensive coordinator to Maryland

Word is SMU really likes some CB who is committed to Southern Miss (Cortez Somebody).

Wonder if this would make him consider switching his commitment to the Hilltop?

The one result that really mattered?
You mean Auburn moved to the Big 10.5 and nobody knew about it?

Too bad about the injuries. However, good coaches find a way to win with the talent available. You can't base your team's success on just one or two players. Let's try to win CUSA and then more.

He just got some turf burns the other day. He'll be fine.

Besides, I have read where some of the new turf is thought to be even better than natural grass as far as preventing ankle and knee injuries.
