Back in the day, KRLD ran a radio show each weeknight at 6 PM called Sports Central. The great Frank Glieber was the host. It was all about the Cowboys on Monday nights, as you might imagine. Anyway, this was during the time when quarterbacks called their own plays (yes, all you Millenials, QBs ...

Papa just can't shoot. He had lots of nice moves early in the season but then he would constantly brick the shots. I can't count how many 10-12 foot jumpers in the lane he has delived only 9-11 feet. Even with his 20 points today, he still shot less than 50%. A big guy in the paint has got to shoot ...

I think you give up the two in return for possession and the lead with less than 20 secs. Frankly, SMU could have fouled with 15 secs, 10 secs, or 5 secs. They just didn't. Not a big deal, just wondering.

Foul in closing seconds?

Did anyone else think that a foul with UCF in possession and SMU up by three and less than 20 seconds left was common protocol? I kept waiting for the foul but it never came and left UCF to drain the three to tie the score as time expired. I was really surprised as I thought a foul there was as ...

I hate FrogSnob. Always have; always will.

He has been a TCU troll for years and somehow, some way, some of you actually engage as if he has any interest in SMU at all. He does not!

Like mildew and black rot, he only appears after stormy nights. Like a wood roach, he fears a ray of sunshine ...

So I guess that makes four of us that don't believe Ark is a top ten all-time bball program. Besides me, add Gillespie, Calipari, and now someone named Altman. (I guess there are five of us if you add Altman's wife.)

No way is Ark top ten in all-time basketball. They had that big year with Richardson and Williamson and that is about it. They compare with the essentailly one-hit-wonder UNLV teams under Tark. The Elvin Hayes era followed by the Hakeem years in Houston compare favorably to Ark. In no particualr ...

What was interesting to me about OSU game and Woods' 6 (or 7?) TDs was the fact that he was very well covered on almost all of them. The difference was his physical size, his athleticism, and his jumping ability. Jonas would have him covered like a glove and he would simply manhandle Jonas and ...

Sorry. Checked with NCAA and they said national signing day remains 2-7-07 irrespective of conflict with Mavs home game.

I seem to remember a streak of 6 or 7 straight wins in football and basketball over SMU from, oh, about 1997-2003. But hey, why dwell on that when we have wins over Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Baylor, Louisville, BYU, Southern Miss and Utah all in the past 5 years. Teams you couldn't even dream of ...

New sound system has been installed and it sounds great. It was very cool at the Brown game. Unfortunately, the street dancers just before tonight's game were using a song with a very stong bass. The bass was vibrating the whole colliseum and then it suddenly popped and the whole sound system failed ...

I am still waiting to get to go a bowl game as an SMU student/alum......so far it hasn't happened in almost 20 years.[/quote]

You're kidding! SMU hasn't been to a bowl game recently?! Stop the presses! FrogSnob has scooped us again!

Vintage Snobspeak. Your forte' is the restating of the ...

Agree entirely. As towns go, no one would pick El Paso over Dallas and, as educations go, no one would pick UTEP over SMU. That reduces it to football teams. UTEP has clearly had greater recent success that has SMU. Looking at football only (and let's admit that most JUCO transfers are less ...
