Talked to Thomas's uncle and he said it was somewhat of a no brainer. Jets let go the head coach and special teams coach. Both ended up with SF. And guess who was available to punt? Glad for Thomas. Wish he returned to NOLA with the Saints though.

It's an interesting bet. Pro coaches don't necessarily make good college coaches and vise versa. Of course college is more pro now so it might be a good move to get someone that knows how to handle professional athletes. We shall see this fall.

With depth, players coming up will have valuable game experiences. A stable coaching staff at this level is HUGE! And to think, just 4 or so years ago we didn't have enough depth for players to enter the portal cause there was enough playing time at SMU. Kinda a nice feeling we got players other teams want.

Watched that game. I was impressed by Duke's 2nd half performance. It's hard to tell on TV but there was no doubt a foul fest called. On both teams. Love that Duke made FTs. If we could do that, me might still be in the NIT and possible could haVe made the March Madness.
