Hang on ... Really? Because Yanick isn't getting any time? Out of every reason to say Tuner is coming here, I'd say that's the lowest ranked one.

No, because I can't see Yanick playing as a Mustang next season......

I wish Yannick would not do that. Only person he is hurting is himself.

No, if you look at how most athletes are run off from programs it is when the head coaches stop the playing time. This is how some big time programs do it. But when you do that you never know how a player will react when you do that. Yanick is generally kind of low key and they probably did not expect this but it gives them more of a reason not to renew his scholarship or have him decide to transfer on his own. This is just how he is reacting to the situation. But I do think they are running him off and that is the reason I really believe Turner is pretty much coming to SMU.

Those coaches better be sure Myles is coming here next year if they're runnning Yanick off

True, but if it is a done deal then it's done. If not then you are right.

Yanick has not impressed me at all since he's been back. Cunningham, Kennedy, and Moore offer more as bigs.

Isn't he a junior - would he have to sit out a year if he wanted to transfer?

That's what I meant in my previous post about "guarantees", and I think even then it's extremely risky.

I don't buy into that's what's going on, but you never know . . .

Brown, unaware of the comments until asked about it on Friday, delivered a message to Morreira:

“Go on social media now and say, `I want to guard (LSU’s Johnny) O’Bryant III. I’m going on social media to say that.”

He couldn't play against UC Irvine because we needed a big that could stretch the floor like Cannen? I'm assuming he's talking about knocking down the 10-12 footer to draw out the big guy away from the basket. I guess that makes sense. But to NEVER bring him in . . . for just defense even . . . is a bit absurd. But, what do I know. I will obey my godfather and drop it. Pony Up!

I love that Yanick posts something on instagram and the thread turns into myles turner committing to SMU. Im just as optimistic as everyone else but its a stretch to correlate the two at this point in my opinion

How good would we be with Mudiay, Turner and a sharp shooting 2 guard? Add them to a very experienced and deep squad and we'd have to be one of the odds on favorites for the Elite 8

We have the sharp shooting two covered with Nic and KF, who can gun and continues to develop into a complete player.

How is he hurting himself if he has decided to go elsewhere?

I assume he has already talked to the coaches about his situation and did not hear the answers he wanted to hear. Also, is this a hint of other issues with Yannick that are not publicly known? Only Yannick and the coaches can answer that question.
So now he is using social media to air his complaints. What does that accomplish? Nothing.
Things are great when he is playing but when his playing time is cut, he has to deal with some adversity, is this how he handles it? Chances are he will lose a lot of respect from his teammates and it will not endure himself to the coaching staff. As someone stated earlier, this also could become a distraction to the team if it continues.
If he decides to transfer at the end of the year I assume interested coaches will be allowed to call Larry Brown to seek as much information as they can about Yannick. This issue will come up in those conversations.
I hope whatever the problem or problems Yannick is dealing with can be resolved and he remains a Mustang. We as fans can only speculate about this situation and offer our opinions.
There are always two sides to a story and the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
