Anyone know anything about this guy we have offered named Landry Fields from CA? Is he still interested in SMU?

I dont think Fields interest in us is that high, it looks more like he will stay on the west coast unless he gets an offer from a really prominent program.

Right now we have interest from several quality out-of-state players (2 more coming in to visit this weekend) but it feels like the coaches are waiting to hear something definitive from Sloan and Odufuwa before they chase those guys hard. Thats the downside of only having 2 scholarships to give.

kind of surprising that Odufuwa hasnt made an announcement yet. It seemed he was getting close to a decision a few weeks back. He has visited his top 3 already: ASU, SMU and CU. Makes me wonder if there is someone else now making a late push for his services.

If we could give him just one more tour of Moody... that ought to do it.

Landry Fields is going to Gonzaga this weekend on an official. Looks like we might be out of the running for this guy!

The guys XtC mentioned who are coming in are supposed to be pretty impressive. I'm still trying to get some names, numbers, etc.

Just out of curiosity, if you don't have "names, numbers, etc." then how do you these guys are supposed to be impressive?

Talked to a guy who claims to know about them from his "sources" (which, to be fair, often prove to be pretty reliable). However, since I don't know anything concrete, I didn't want to pop on here and say they're both 7-foot-7, 290 pounds and score 61 points per game, because without having something to back it up, I'd sound a little silly .... don't you think?

Were these the same "sources" that said we were gonna be good once we landed Bryan Hopkins?

Their visit was postponed because of the hurricane threat. They're still coming, though.
