@ Marshall Game ThreadModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower GREAT!!! I logged onto All Access noticing our guys had a 10-0 lead late in the 4th quarter...and watched an effort of determination, will, desire, guts, and never-say die....as Marshall refused to be beaten.
3rd and 12 in OT and we allow the QB to scramble for a first down. Wonderful.
ouchthis one hurts worse than most...defense played hard, offense hard-ly...
sad...just sad. no fuss with the officials, but man that was a tough non-fumble call..non holding call(s)...nevertheless, you have to win a game like this on the road, and expect no help...sad... stable-boy for the four horsemen of the apocalypse
RGV,
Their QB passed up running opportunities the entire game...finally took advantage of it in the end. Our defense played well enough to win today against a somewhat inept Marshall offense
Hey pony players, that was a tough way to lose but you must look at yourselfs, your coaches and ask! are we committed?
Sorry I fully support the ponies but what I saw was a real comedy of errors, poor play calling and no commitement by a number of players. Play like it's your llast game, win inspite of poor play calling just fight..... Get ready for the next game with this in mind...ponies Power Mustangs "Now is the Time" They will believe in #PonyUp
The defense gave up about 400 yards.......its hard to say which is worse - the offense or the defense!!!!
Definately the offense.
The defense was out there a ton more than the O and still held Marshall for most of the game. But who cares, both sides suck.
FUMBLETHAT was a fumble. Did anyone on here actually watch the game!!! TRhat game was stolen from us.
SMU Wins 10-7
Ran it back on TIVO and it was coming out the moment he started to attempt to pass. It was a fumble. No doubt about it. Offensive play calling was still insane. Running Massey instead of Martin was just plain stupid. The OC is clueless. Bennet was ranting about re-evaluating everything after the game. Does that mean we get to re-evaluate his lack of coaching ability?
Class of '91
---------- RGV, don't let the facts get in your way: [1] SMU offense had more time of possession (41-33 min); [2] the offense gave defense 10-0 lead into 4Q. Despite our anemic offensive output & stats, MU fumbled 4 times & the D never recovered once. SMU offense had no INT & I dont think we had any fumbles. It may have been 'playing ugly', but with a lead of 10-0, this was a game that the D could've put away in Q4, but didn't. YOU WANT THE TRUTH? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
