Agree, footballdad. We have two weeks to prepare for little softer schedule after this next beating this weak end. They need all the help they can get.
Of course maybe those on this board
who have said Turner is trying to submarine football are right. Who knows.

GRT will be in The STL tomorrow night to thank us local yokel's for our continued financial support. Is there anything, anyone would like me to relay to him for their own benefit ?

Ask him is he committed enough to football to at least start building on an IPF by next years end?

At what location will next years (tight/defensive) end be living ?

I take it that you are not going to ask the question. Okay, could you ask when an IPF will be built?

Coach Mason..."San Antonio Mustang", "mrydel",
and Turner know more about the football team than you do...
Listen to "San Antonio Mustang"
He says Coach Rossley would not help you....
So your meager request is DENIED!
Have a good one!

I did not say he could not help, just his help would be limited to second guessing Morrison/Philips on players. This of course would lead to Morrison/Philips getting mad and undermining Mason/Rossly. It also gives them an excuse for the offensive failures. I don't think it is worth much. Now if he would accept a job as OC for a small amount then we could afford to fire Morrison and replace him with Rossly. In that case, I think Rossly could probably help us win a few games.

Ask him about his attitude toward Consultants

I bet Coach Mason didn't think of that.

We don't need an ipf. We need 4 start recruits who go to bed at 9pm so they can practice at 7am before it's 100degrees and sunny.

IPFs are probably the single most misunderstood facilities in college football.

In a weird way, an IPF has nothing to do with helping the current team... they're about recruiting.

My take on an IPF at SMU is that it's not even worth building one unless we're willing to commit the space and about $30-40 million to build one the right way. I'm talking full field, football weight room, locker room, coaches' offices, training facilities, etc all under one roof and done in a way that gives a "Wow!" factor when recruits step in the door.

You mean kinda like our 20million dollar tennis facility?

So we will have top facilities for bball, vball, and tennis (and golf?). Ipf could cover football, track, some rowing and soccer work... do it. Do it now.
