It's the NAIA school that Mumme left us for. Preston was doing pretty well there until he got hurt.

Re: Another scholarship open
That's been gone for 2 years
Re: Another scholarship openHe was having a pretty good year. Hope he heals up and continues to have success. Amazing what can happen when you have good coaching
GO MUSTANGS!

Re: Another scholarship openI thought Padron came back to SMU to finish his degree.

Re: Another scholarship openI liked Cassell. The guy was a football player, if not a D-I QB.
Best of luck to him.
Re: Another scholarship openI saw Conner Preston on the Blvd late this year for a SMU game, and spoke to him for awhile. He said it was unlikely he will come back for his last year, but he would like to coach. He liked playing for Mumme. In fact, he lived with Mumme, they split an apartment. Mumme's wife is still in Abilene.
Re: Another scholarship openIt probably wouldn't be bad to have a few spots on the roster after NSD passes. We've picked up some of our better recruits in the last couple years by being the only school with a scholarship to give
Re: Another scholarship opentrue but we still have a pretty impressive list of quality recruits still on the board that just might fill the class up by signing date. Almost seems as our recruiting efforts are gaining steam as we approach the finish line
