Not even close to the best restaurant. It has a good atmosphere especially if you want to be at a "scene". I can think of 3 steakhouses that are better before getting into non-steakhouses that are better.
Re: Spurs' Coaches Have Dinner with LBI've eaten there a couple of times. Good food but definitely more popular because of its scene, very LA in that regard. I actually prefer the food at Capital Grille over Al's. As for another better restaurant in the neighborhood, Yutaka.

Re: Spurs' Coaches Have Dinner with LBThe food at al Bernard's is good, I'm not knocking it, but it is not the best steakhouse in Dallas. @sacklunch I agree Javier's is really legit.
Re: Spurs' Coaches Have Dinner with LBWhat three steakhouses are better than Al Biernats?

Re: Spurs' Coaches Have Dinner with LB
Haven't tried Knife yet. nick & Sams and Al B's are a tossup in my opinion. I think Pappas is overrated. 2005 PonyFans.com Rookie of the Year Award Recipient
Re: Spurs' Coaches Have Dinner with LBpapas isn't that good.
Capital grille is actually really good. Als is great if you are old and divorced.
Re: Spurs' Coaches Have Dinner with LBI do enjoy capital grille
Re: Spurs' Coaches Have Dinner with LBPapas has great wine list. Steaks are midrange.
