Everyone else is just mediocre? Benson? Badejo? Rau? Losing Moore would suck and he has been vocal in recruiting but we have some good commits on the hook right now regardless.
You conveniently changed his actual words from 'for the most part', to 'everyone'. Sure those 3 guys are rated the highest in the class, but no better than Castille, Thomas or Proche from last year. His point, as mine, is that Moore is the only real difference between the classes, and the most obvious guy in both classes so far that could be labeled a potential 'program changer.' They all might be busts, and the lowest rated guys might flourish, who knows. But to deny Moore is our most important recruit to date, and act like him flipping is no big deal, is nonsense. If he turns down bigger offers and brighter lights, and stays committed to Morris' vision, I'll be even more impressed with the kid.

You can't change someone's mind who refuses to have it changed. You, me, and mostly everyone else on pf sees a lot of potential in the 2016 (even without moore) . He has had the offer lists/height and weight potential/ schematic fit spelled out to him many times I guess he just won't settle unless it's the highest rated recruit on rivals. There is a huge difference between June Jones recruits that nobody else wanted and a 2 star running back that will play linebacker in college and be exponentially better at that position, as predicted by interest from ou. Gary Patterson made his career off the real life example I just spelled out. So yeah for at least the first few years I'm okay with the minimum morris is doing recruiting wise, which is drastically increasing the athletic ability and talent of this team and finding schematic fits. Even if these recruits are mediocre, that's a step up from worst football team in history of d1. None of that is to say I'm settling with my expectations..expecting big things the next couple of years

Maybe Moore is so committed to SMU that he's just trying to make a bigger story and raise his rating so that in the end he can go, "Boom! SMU, -itches! Pony up!!" Then put on his cap, and walk off the stage. Maybe. We need this season not to be a dud, though.

I want Moore to stay. I think Moore can be great for our program. I like the way he is recruiting. All that said, if he goes, there will be others. QBs jump around and when they move others leave. Arkansas looks like they may get the high rated kid transferring from USC. If he does 2 or 3 QBs will leave Arkansas. There will not be a lot of openings at P5s for QBs late in the signing period. Just like it was when we got Gilbert. So yes I hope he stays but doom and gloom, especially with our current staff is not there.
By the way, the WDNWHA Committee already made its decision, but as always, we do not announce but rather let the athlete announce what we decided when he feels best in doing so.

Hmmm, the committee tipping its hand a little bit here, methinks.

Not at all. Sometimes we get behind but we are current now and we try to make our decisions early for the player's sake. But when they want to announce our decision is up to them. We are nice people.

That will never be disclosed in order to keep any underhanded shenanigans from being attempted on our trustworthy, yet morally weak on occasion members.
