That's how you get recruits to notice you...I like it. #Lockarms.

You are affirming the stereotype that SMU uses Bing (from the TCU fan sign)

The only thing I don't like about this is that it was announced beforehand. I think it would have had a bigger impact if it happened and then was explained. It loses some of the shock value.

Saban did this a couple of years ago.

So is Coach Morris using this to expand his half a tank of gas recruiting radius?

No, he is just getting to more games in one day in the area by using the copter and getting to them in style.

Someday, Pegasus might be cool to include on our helmet as part of a Celebrate Dallas theme.

Maybe (likely perhaps?) it was done earlier but the first time I remember an airborne coach in connection with recruiting was Bobby Collins on NLI day the year Jerry Ball was signed. IIRC a USA Today article mentioned that Collins and Sherrill (ATM) both flitted around getting signatures and said it was an innovation. Private jets then, helos today, and during recruiting. Progress.

I think that's a cool idea. I'm crossing my fingers for a state fair game at the Cotton Bowl again some day.

A neon red Pegasus would look pretty cool on a blue helmet or maybe even on a helmet that looks like the sky with stars and stuff like that.
