Rhonda obviously does not have a Larry Brown coaching record, but then there are not too many coaches that do. However, Rompola in her 25 years as head coach of the Mustangs has an overall record of 438-314. During her tenure as head coach, she has led the Mustangs to the postseason 13 times, including seven NCAA Tournament berths (1994, 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2008), and captured five conference championships (1999, 2000, 2008, 2009 and 2013). She has also guided her teams to 20 wins in a season nine times, including a program-record 24 wins in 2007-08.
Not all that shabby a record.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
