For money and a much better basketball conference. Why not?

Scott Drew left Valpo in 2003 for Baylor and I don't think anyone wanted that job at the time.

As for Bryce, i not familiar with what he has been offered and turned down. Was it a P5 job?

Forget which ones but yes. Some talking heads said he is more loyal than his brother and is waiting for a few other schools to open up to make a move.

Tulane friend said they aren't going to open the wallet like we did for Larry

If that's the case, they will probably have to take a chance on a small school coach with little to no buzz. If I was Tulane I'd call Cross at UTA.

I've wondered why he has stayed at UTA so long and hasn't moved up

I know he was born and raised in Arlington, played at UTA and now coaches at UTA. I did hear him say it will take a special job for him to leave UTA, but we know that really means money. I bet several schools will look his way this off season. He's only 41.

If they want to take a chance get the Little Rock coach, Chris Beard.

Because it is impossible to win at Tulane!!! Something like 80% of their students are from out of state and most leave after graduation. Result - NO is NOT full of Tulane grads. SMU's attendance/fan interest problems pale in comparison to Tulane's.

Tulane openly says they won't pay to win, but remember it's RGT who hates athletics and is secretly trying to destroy them here.

Stlhockeyguy02 wrote:"Dannen, who replaced Rick Dickson as athletic director in December, mentioned major discrepancies between the Green Wave and its peers in the AAC in terms of travel, compensation and support, leading to the dearth of success on the floor.

The low investment, however, is partly due to a lack of interest. Tulane averaged just 1,800 fans at home games this season, significantly less than every other team in the conference.

Considering four coaches in the conference are making more than $2.5 million, Dannen admitted he can’t currently justify or afford to hire a coach who will be paid at the league’s upper echelon."

****But remember, it's Turner that hates athletics. It's also his super-secret double probation power play that got Tulane into the AAC over the objections of every other conference member.
