Disappointed but not really surprised. Thought that he might be the number 1 target for poaching.

We have now lost the last 3 high school quarterback recruits "committed" to us. Brewer, Moore, and Will McBride who is now a Tennessee commit.

No amount of fans make it fun to play at: Morgantown, Waco, Lubbock, Manhattan, Ames, Stillwater or Norman. At best Austin (nbd) and Ft Worth (meh).

I hope that makes you feel better about things but athletes don't really give a [deleted] what city their school is in. It's a nice bullet point that old people like to talk about. Athletes want to get campus respect, props on twitter, and play in front of real fans.

If Dallas was such a real asset to football then maybe we wouldn't get outperformed by teams from great places such as Hattiesburg, MS.

Nailed it. Our fan base needs to take the SMU blinders off and realize the majority of recruits really could care less about what their diploma on the wall says. They just want to play ball and when your choices are the Big 12 or 12k fans a game SMU its a no brainer for most of them.

There's one way to fix it. Let kids who have no interest in a degree go straight to the NFL that would flip the whole board game over.

Mtrout, what bullet point, didn't have one...also not old. Old people don't know nbd, just saying.

Lastly, do I realize that we have an attendance issue, sure, duh, nothing new. However point still stands no one brags from living in Morgantown.

With the sewer that Baylor is ... and how tight he and his family were supposed to have been with Coach Morris, this is a shock. This once again proves, if a big 12 school hikes her skirt... our recruit is probably gone.

How long has the Baylor staff been there, a week? This has got to really sting the ego of coach Morris and his staff. To have Brewer swiped from their clutches so easily and quickly by a brand new staff, that needed directions to Lake Travis High School.

And just three days ago he was still pumped about SMU on Twitter. Don't get me wrong, I never did think he was the next Tom Brady, I'm just shocked we lost him with the circumstances involved.

Now let's go poach another lineman or linebacker-positions we have more need for.

Some Baylor fans are laughing at how easily they plucked SMU bellcow recruit. With the exception of a couple of our offensive linemen recruits, I can't think of any of our other commits they would want..... With a possible exception of Medlock?

This isn't shocking at all. As other posters have mentioned already, recruits' pick between playing in B12 or American is a no-brainer. Attendance and coverage easily trumps school location.

Plus these kids (and that's all they are) couldn't care less about getting a job after college. Would they really rather live in Birmingham or Waco after graduation? (Assuming they graduate that is)
