I hate to lose Charlie but I really like the Page kid. I wouldn't count him out just yet at the QB position.

Re: Go check Charlie Brewer's twitter
I wish he and the other Brewer were coming. But honestly, you look at the roster and we had 2 really good TE recruits last year and at QB, there are three guys ahead of Charlie right now. This is when recruiting becomes harder - when you can't promise guys immediate playing time.

Re: Go check Charlie Brewer's twitter
Recruiting will become easier when SMU isn't recruiting a Class off 1 and 2 wins. Neither Brewer decommitted from SMU based upon competition-they both wanted to play in a P5 conference. Charlie and his family are not concerned about him redshirting-they think he should redshirt

Most BU people have no trouble getting jobs in Dallas or Houston after graduation.

i think ark was referring to the athletes. I agree most BU people do pretty well with getting jobs, but they certainly are not thought of as on the same level as SMU, UT or even A&M.

Re: Go check Charlie Brewer's twitter
perhaps he saw the competition at SMU over the next 2-3 years with Peavy, Gillins, Hicks and decided he could start earlier at Baylor? The family is very tight with Morris family, and perhaps Charlie knows that Chad will be leaving SMU in 1-2 years. Or perhaps there's a girl going to Baylor...who knows. Point is we move on.

I note Page is left handed. For those who are more knowledgeable, what are the pluses and minuses offensively and defensively?

Bummer to see this but I saw it coming a mile away.

Do we get one if not both Brewers if they lose earlier in the playoffs?

Re: Go check Charlie Brewer's twitter
It has more to do with both Baylor and Texas needing to rebuild their recruiting classes after coaching changes. Lake Travis went to 6A State Championship last year and nobody stayed on the field with them for Final 14 games so it certainly isn't a surprise- they basically blew out 14 straight teams in First Half
