I suggest you buy candles-I've seen 4s go to 6 1/2 in good candle-light

whatever our seed, I'd rather play a P5 school than one of these teams. One of them will probably win a 5/12 game but of course SMU, Cincy or any P5 school will be expected to dispatch them easily

UCONN a measly -2 over ECU sums up their season.

Agree - a team like Belmont would be a disaster. Their offense is all about moving the ball around, shooting the outside shot and draining three pointers. And they are quite good in that department.Charleston Pony wrote:whatever our seed, I'd rather play a P5 school than one of these teams. Any three-point bombing team would be dangerous for us.
I want the team that wants to drive to the basket. We will cut off their lanes with our defense (which most teams are not used to seeing) and it will be Game Over.

A high seed power conference opponent is a flawed slightly above average team from a good conference. A higher seed small school is a good team from a small conference. Pretty obvious which of those two are more dangerous.

I agree with this for the most part. Caveat is if you draw someone like Syracuse or Mich St. who is surging at the right time and is loaded with talent, unlike a team like Belmont, UTA, or Vermont. Belmont despite being a good 3 point shooting team I dont think has the horses to hang with our starting 5, which is why the almost always lose in the 1st round. Like Vermont is better or at least equal to Belmont and lost to UH earlier this year.Pony_Law wrote:A high seed power conference opponent is a flawed slightly above average team from a good conference. I do mostly agree though that I would much rather play Vandy, KSU, Providence, Seton Hall, or someone like that rather than Belmont or Mid Tennessee who is a small school who is playing good basketball.
