if they pay much for an inexperienced unproven coach then they need to have their heads examined. I don't know about dykes but there were others we should have been able to sell on coming here.

Might be the best we can get at this time.

If I had to guess, they will sign Traylor after the bowl game with a $1.5m contract and use the rest of to recruit strong OC and DC and recruiters.
If you're join going to hire Traylor, make it official before the bowl game so we can try and salvage as much of the recruiting class as possible. It's not like we'll be able to tell what kind of coach he'd be based off of one bowl game with half a coaching staff.

yes, mrydel I think the fans would be happy. Plus it would piss-off the whorens no end because they couldn't get him. an added extra bonus. but, since I no longer believe in santa claus I won't hold my breath because that would be the impossible dream.

I highly doubt it. There are plenty of retread coaches that will never get a chance at a program that is in a better conference than the American without proving themselves again. Kiffin was a hotshot coordinator last season and ended up at FAU. If FAU can land Kiffin we can too!

He is not. I’m in the Todd Orlando camp. I’m thinking this is the path of our admin.

I don’t think they would want Kiffin. And maybe Kiffin does not want to be here. Kiffin and Saban clashed and he found the best landing place for him late last year. I am sure they responded to people that applied.

Was not referring to you, when I said if he is "your choice". I was using "your choice" more as a general usage for the administration. Sorry for the confusion.

I am not advocating for Kiffin, just using him as an example of a school in an inferior conference that does not pay much for its coaches and still landed a hotshot coordinator. We can attract top talent too.

Kiffen might actually hurt his reputation even more by leaving after 1 year again-if it leaves FAU after a year he'd probably leave SMU after a year too

Kiffin came to them under unusual circumstances. Saban and him decided to part ways because they clashed late in the season and the best job he could find was FAU.
