This will be the year we find out if the Dallas uniforms will help the basketball team as much as they have transformed the football team. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Mass exodus?Jank may need to recruit his son to transfer back from Kansas.
Re: Mass exodus?I am hoping that things change, and open to hearing about it.
That said, LB got transfers from Duke and Villanova. SD gets them from Bama, Texas, and OU. Jank got Marquette and Cal. And we are reaching out to kids (who have had success, so that is good) from smaller schools so far. Like I said, I am open to seeing the results. But the level isn't quite the same.

Re: Mass exodus?
He was 30-5 with top talent.
Re: Mass exodus?
The challenge is that he isn't bringing in that same level of talent. We aren't bad by any stretch of the imagination. But we won't ever get the talent to go 30-5 with him running the show. And your relationship with the students and alumni matters.
Re: Mass exodus? It's also reasonable to conclude that those players were disciplined under Larry Brown for several years and along with their talent excelled under a coach that gave them more flexibility. The same flexibility is not as helpful when the players are not as talented or as disciplined.
Re: Mass exodus?
Talent formally coached and trained by LB. How about his results recently? 2 out of 3 years a losing record. excusa-vich does not belong here nor does he belong coaching at the D1 level. he is much happier just playing his guitar. sadly, nobody cares enough about mens bball to do anything about making a change, even with just one year left on his contract. mediocrity at its best.
Re: Mass exodus? We’ve got a real nice little negative advertisement program going here for potential transfers. Fire Jank and Mass Exodus. I wish some of you would think of something beyond the confines of your little whiny worlds before posting.
Re: Mass exodus?Yeah. We are the problem not the coach that gets paid $2 mil. Are you cutting and pasting from your June Jones era posts?

Re: Mass exodus? The writing has been on the wall for the last few seasons. That said, our fanbase does not support the program to the extent necessary to attract a can't miss candidate so if we are not willing to pay top dollar and go after the best we might as well hang on to Jankovich another season. Expectations are part of the job and it is not the fault of our fanbase that we have not met them. If Jankovich did more to improve recruiting, he would quell many of the calls for change.
