Joe Hoyt of the Dallas Morning News quoted "an SMU spokesperson" who said the company that installed the turf will be out to address and fix the turf before the home opener.

Scoop: he also indicated that the team would "practice elsewhere"

It makes sense that any subsurface air would have to go somewhere under the weight of all that water.

And it showed up in the red zone. That has to mean something, right?

Football fields are not technically flat. They arc abt a foot to two feet, thus the disbursement you see.

Thanks for your amazing TCU brainiac insight but why isn't the other 85 yards of the field also "disdursed" proportionately the same? Also, the draining systems that come with artificial turf now all but eliminate that arc you used to have when fields drained to the sidelines. Thanks for stopping by though.

TCU trollin us is always a good sign of the fear in their souls. They know what's coming and when it's done the iron skillet will once again be fired up with frog legs in it.

Whoever made the comment about the air being trapped is spot on. That volume of water is absolutely impressive and wild things happen. I'd be very interested to know what adjustments the turf company made.

Wishing all a great season and hope to see you at a game soon.

Graciously,
