Rain 1, Ford Stadium 0"It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."
... "Hit it."
Re: Rain 1, Ford Stadium 0We’ve certainly had a ton of rain. Just shy of a foot.
Re: Rain 1, Ford Stadium 0That showed up on my twitter as "age restricted content" lol
Turf looked fine last evening.
Re: Rain 1, Ford Stadium 0Joe Hoyt of the Dallas Morning News quoted "an SMU spokesperson" who said the company that installed the turf will be out to address and fix the turf before the home opener.
Scoop: he also indicated that the team would "practice elsewhere" PonyFans.com ... is really the premier place for Mustang talk on the Web.

Re: Rain 1, Ford Stadium 0It makes sense that any subsurface air would have to go somewhere under the weight of all that water.
Re: Rain 1, Ford Stadium 0How can it be shaped just like a football?

Re: Rain 1, Ford Stadium 0
It is a sign from above that this is the Mustangs year.
Re: Rain 1, Ford Stadium 0And it showed up in the red zone. That has to mean something, right?
Re: Rain 1, Ford Stadium 0It’s all downhill from there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Rain 1, Ford Stadium 0Ponies will bubble up this year. Pony Up or Bubble Up?
Re: Rain 1, Ford Stadium 0
Football fields are not technically flat. They arc abt a foot to two feet, thus the disbursement you see. Go Frogs! Pony Up!
Re: Rain 1, Ford Stadium 0
Thanks for your amazing TCU brainiac insight but why isn't the other 85 yards of the field also "disdursed" proportionately the same? Also, the draining systems that come with artificial turf now all but eliminate that arc you used to have when fields drained to the sidelines. Thanks for stopping by though.
Re: Rain 1, Ford Stadium 0we are a bubble team...
stable-boy for the four horsemen of the apocalypse
Re: Rain 1, Ford Stadium 0TCU trollin us is always a good sign of the fear in their souls. They know what's coming and when it's done the iron skillet will once again be fired up with frog legs in it.
Whoever made the comment about the air being trapped is spot on. That volume of water is absolutely impressive and wild things happen. I'd be very interested to know what adjustments the turf company made. Wishing all a great season and hope to see you at a game soon. Graciously, Drew 2009 MBA
