That team in June's first year was terrible and I think at the time he had trouble learning the complexities of the Run N Shoot as a majority of the routes are read routes. It didn't help that when he got injured Padron came in and lit Tulsa up and the rest was history for BLM at SMU.
Also, while I'm very happy with Bo Levi's success and hope it continues, and I also both root for an FCS team and find the CFL enormously entertaining, lighting up FCS and then lighting up Canada does not exactly place him at the top of either the college or pro games.

I think that, like Josh McCown, BLM’s resume makes him more successful than 99% of quarterbacks who play college football, most of whom never take a snap at the professional level.

Here’s an interesting article on McCown, while we’re at it: https://www.sportskeeda.com/nfl/best-jo ... fl-history

Wasn’t Bo recruited by JJ at Hawaii, then he committed to SMU when JJ did?

Those were his only 2 offers, both from tiki, but give June credit, saw something in Bo.

As a true freshman he absolutely lit it up in some gamesΓǪjust looked it up, he passed for 2,900 yards, that’s impressive.

Had he stayed the full 4 years here, who knows what happens.

If you're replying to me, you're making a vastly different comparison (BLM > All College Quarterbacks) than I made (BLM < The "top" of the college and pro games). McCown is certainly comparable to BLM, as a longtime NFL journeyman/backup in whom a lot of teams saw value but who never made it as a starter.

I was trying to reply to you that, yes, Bo is hardly NFL HOF material. But that he is in fact a top performer if you’re comparing to college quarterbacks.

If by some chance it is one of these three teams, if we want to be able to have an opportunity to win, you better hope we get Rice.

Bo Levi was an on-air analyst tonight for the CFL Grey Cup (ESPN). He got a fair amount of time at the microphone.

Rice may not even be bowl eligible. They're 5-6 and have to play @UNT next week as heavy underdogs. This stuff is a moronathon.

Most analysts project there won't be enough teams with 6+ wins, so Rice would be one of the first 5-7 teams to get selected.

Honestly wherever we go we either deserve or don't deserve because it was too favorable. We need to get a bowl win since we haven't since I believe the JJ days. Hopefully it's at the Frisco bowl or somewhere low tier and get an easy opponent. Main thing I hope is we get the maximum amount of practice days.

I still predict Frisco vs UTSA but a match up with San Diego State could be of interest
