Surely the whole staff goes too, right? There can't be any way in which any of the assistants survive this, I assume.

Source says Boise and UNLV have slim chance of being 13 and 14 citing low academic ranking and lack of commitment to other sports. PAC presidents like SMU academics and having a presence in Texas. No mention of worry about media deal.
DP generally doesn't jump to a lot of conclusions. He certainly is more credible than a lot of folks out there talking about this stuff.

For what it's worth, as of 9:30 PM (central time), the entire staff, including Fitzgerald, are still listed on the Northwestern website.

That’s easy In an era where trust in journalism is deservingly at an all-time low, where suppression of information is becoming more and more the norm, kudos to the Medill School of Journalism for their timely investigative reporting Mind you it makes your President look wishy-washy, your football program run by criminals and your University liable for millions….they did the ethical thing I salute the Medill School of Journalism

I don’t think you *are* a troll, but goodness you do a convincing impression a lot of the time. You can call me a cynic if you must, I have endured enough losing to last a lifetime. But you won't find a more loyal SMU fan anywhere and it hurts my soul to be called a troll.

What choices do the coaches and university have? Coaches won't find many open slots at other schools this close to the beginning of practice. The university doesn't want to try and assemble a coaching staff this late.
