The HP crowd will leave the Scotties game at halftime so they can get over to Ford in time to leave the Mustangs game at halftime.
Post of the week! Haha

Agreed on POTW and also so true. Watch the Scots go on their first 6A playoff run and have a game opposite the Navy game, ugh.

Hard to say what it is, but green is their uniform color. I guess calling it mean gives them a sense of power.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Is it better to be Mean or Big (Dartmouth)?
I talked with some SMU MBA students yesterday and they knew there was a game tonight. That’s progress.

Tasted Brussel sprouts for the first time at the SMU cafeteria, and liked them. Didn't know what was wrong with Beaver Cleaver in the Brussell sprout edisode. Broccoli, and avocados for me as a kid.
May the forth be with us.

I'll take Big. As in The Big Green Marching Machine from Longview High School. Took the bronze medal in the state military marching contest in Waco a week or 2 ago. OBTY: 29000.
May the forth be with us.

It's going to be very chilly, especially in the second half. Hopefully, our people will be smart enough to layer up.

Oh please ... it's going to be in the 50s. Every PonyFan has a sweatshirt. Bring it.
Chilly air, high school football, less-than-sexy opponent ... none is a legit excuse. Bundle up the family and friends and get to the game by kickoff, and stay through the end.
Beat NTSU!
I really shouldn't drink and type.

Exactly my point. We have games where the forecast is similar to the one tonight and I will see people arriving in short sleeve shirts, they're leaving by halftime because they're cold.

announced attendance was 22,043 and I don't know how many actually showed up but that was the smallest crowd I've seen for a UNT game in Ford for quite a while. I expect their fans have just given up on this season and didn't want to witness another defeat. On to basketball season for the mean greenies where they have a much better team

Fair number of UNT fans showed up. Less than past visits to Ford but far more than any other visiting crowd this year and otherwise except TCU and Tech. Navy is usually strong as well but UNT band takes up a section by themselves and adds fun.
Good home crowd. Student crowd lower than some past games like homecoming. Since announced crowd was 22k, I’d say actual peak was close to that. It got rather cold towards the end of the third quarter. Many started leaving but it wasn’t a mass exodus. Higher attendance than Tulsa game by 2k despite Friday night conflicts with HS games and late start impact on kids.
Not sure why Charlotte and PV were top two attended games with 25k and 24k, respectively, except great weather and 6:30 and 6:00 start times. Tulsa had strong rains and 11 am kick.
Navy up next on Saturday after t-day.
+++++++ Two years ago UNT drew 29k attendance on 9/11, a Saturday at 6 pm on espn+.
