I don't think BC has a chance after what happened in the bowl game last year!
The QB that ran all over us is back this year with another year's experience so we have no reason to be over confident vs BC. We need to hope it doesn't rain that day

I remember our trip to Waco when Bennett was serving as Baylor's DC after getting fired from SMU. He clearly had his guys headhunting and I can't remember a game when so many guys had their helmets ripped off while getting tackled. Hopefully our D will be improved and won't have to play dirty like I thought Baylor did that day.

You might not be as confident if you are watching the Nevada QB run circles around this defense (that doesn't look any faster or tougher than last year's D)

That was an ugly start but 1st games can be...at least it was a W as expected so I'm still good with my 7-5 prediction. I'm assuming an easy win vs HCU but the 2 games against BYU and TCU will dictate whether I revise my prediction. I still think we win one of those 2 games against Big XII opponents

After that BYU loss I've got the TCU game as a "must win" if this team is going to go 7-5. My hope was that we would go 3-1 vs ACC teams in Ford and pick up a road win at either Virginia or Stanford but BC looks really strong and Cal winning at Auburn now has me wondering whether this team can go 3-1 at home. TCU game is HUGE and Sonny has pretty much owned this series so I'm anything but confident and sure glad we have an extra week to prepare for this game.

Feeling better and better about my 7-5 prediction. This next game @ Louisville will tell me whether to revise my expectations for an even better season. That road game @ Nevada reminds me we have to be concerned about ANY road game and Louisville is one of the better ACC opponents we will face this year so we shall see.

Next week is going to tell us just how good we are. The almost loss at Nevada and loss to BYU had me thinking that this was going to be a potential disaster season, but whoa Nellie, we have a TEAM!!

After the easy win @ Stanford, these guys are clearly exceeding my expectations for this season and making the optimists on this thread looking better and better!
