You're right. And I think we're coming to the point where everyone will be upset if the optimists are correct!

Go to a nY6 bowl and SMUΓÇÖs journey back to the early 1980s is complete. We end up a top 20 team and with the big boosters back, we should stay there. Attendance average jumps to the 30 thousand mark with a couple of full sellouts. The days of watching other games on the Boulevard while SMU plays are over.

Good call but hopefully even you have underestimated this team! Let's hope so

So glad that I was wrong with a 7-5 W-L prediction (with 8-4 upside). RunnStang and Peruna Power get the prize for the closest prediction at 10-2.

I was a freshman in 1982 (1983 Cotton Bowl), and I think this season is every bit as good as that year, maybe better since it has been nearly 40 years of wandering in the wilderness. Win (better) or lose on Saturday, we can be optimistic for a good future in the ACC.

Meanwhile, those NY6 Bowls are now the 2nd round of the CFP which hopefully we are in win or lose Saturday (assuming a loss would be a closely contested one score game)

In August, I would have said anything over .500 would have been a terrific season.
Turns out I was right! :D
