Oh! And you can even take your newly earned PE degree that you earned from SMU and turn around and work in their Wellness department! How wonderful is that!?! The degree you wanted and a job!

And if he was not lying, and those recruits went to a school with an education major, then we are at a disadvantage.
Perhaps he didn't know how to sell the advantages of the program we do have...but if "education major" is what we need to call what we have, that should be easy to fix. By the way, how many of TCU's starters are majoring in education. Serious question, because I don't know, but it might be interesting for someone who has the time to research that to do so (Hello Stallion). You and I don't have the time...we spend it all on Ponyfans. :D

Like I said, you can't sell a recuit on a SMU School of Education and Human Development? You can't show him all the wonderful 5000 level courses that SMU has available to undergrads RIGHT NOW or the wonderful grad programs/staff that they have at their School of Education? You can't show them how they can become a PE coach through SMU? If not, are you really the type of guy we want selling SMU to student athletes?

you have to be one of the most naive people I've seen on these boards. Since all your posts on this board have been within 24 hours I think that you should fill us in where you've been for the last 10 years. Have you recently changed your identity? Or are you a faculty member or administration stooge talking academic theory that really would be laughed at by just about any Coach worth his salt. I do you know you have little understanding of the competitive environment in college football recruiting. Seriously think we are owed some kinda of explanation of why you feel so passionately about this issue. You have ZERO track record for us to judge

To coach in HS all you need is a major and a teaching certificate. You don't have to major in education.

You don't owe an explanation but if you aren't someone with a real interest in SMU athletics or NCAA athletics in general that has a track record I can choose to discount your argument-which I do. All posters offering opinions or evidence much like a witness have a level of crdibility that can be believed or not believed. Opinions not based on full knowledge of the subject matter have little probative value. You lack credibility.-and you refuse to tell us your background.

you got a source for that TCU roster big guy? There are only 77 players listed-the TCU roster I'm sure is over 100 kids. If this was a study of scholarship players only I don't know I trust you interpreting that data. BTW there is no semi check for an Education major, nor is there equivalent studies for Kinesiology and others.

Haha, you are halaroius Stallion...and (I theorize) slightly manic. I don't need to tell you what sites I visit or what I do, just know that I was a student/SMU during the entire Phil Bennet regime, I have attended 4-5 football homegames every year, I have been on several state and national championship sports teams. I have/can back up everything I've said so far to primary sources so please, lay off my credibility.
