Postby Pony81 » Thu Nov 01, 2007 9:58 pm

With all this talk about spending $1MM to get a quality coach, does anybody know the salary level of CUSA coaches?

$419,000 is the C-USA average. Don't know the breakdown though. This article has a lot of information on other conferences too

The problem with that is all the coaching changes that happened since last year. Kragthorpe is at Louisville, Graham is at Tulsa, Rice has Bailiff, UAB fired Watson (I don't remember who they have now).

you're right. even with the changes, it's probably a little closer to $500,000. which is still low, in my opinion

Remember, these are base salaries. This does not include a bonus or two they get every year. A lot of teams build in a bonus and use it as a type of salary. It's all about accounting and how they get it by the administration.

Why we're trailing Tulsa and Memphis by that much is beyond me.
