I'm still trying to get my head around the "DL in highschool = linebacker in college" statement. Trying to think of any examples of that (other then DE's) at a BCS school.
I think at good schools recruit DL's that were DL's in HS and LB's that were LB's in HS.
I think BD is an idiot. And crazy too. And a blow hard. And not smart. And unemployed. And unrelated to any players. And a wannabee.
Did I miss anything?

its not uncommon at BCS schools for them to recruit Safeties and make them LBs, LBs and make them DEs and DEs and make them DLM. Generally to get speed on the field. Recruiters project players based on their potential size after a weight program not their high school size. Now the BEST schools who get the BEST players usually can find the high school players who are already have the correct speed and size in high school to excel. But its not unusual at all even at the Biggest schools. The hardest position in College Football to recruit is DLM because so few have the speed and size to be great. Only a handful in Texas every year who fit that description-not enough to go around

I do not disagree with what you said. Heck, even the pros move them around in the manner you suggest.
I just could not recall the last time a BCS school recruited a HS DL to play LB. Does not happen due to speed issues. Would you agree?

I agree but again it would be based on projected size and speed. Usually DB to LB to DE to DT. Only rarely the other way. The reason of course, is you can't teach speed but you can always add bulk and weight in a weight program

You are the only dumb [deleted] that did not understand that statement. Please stay a SMU and do not poison the rest of the college football world with these dumb [deleted] statements. Where have you been?
