Imagine J-Will's stats with someone other than Rusty Burns calling the shots... Make me sleep better at night knowing the idiot is gone soon...
What are Brohms (sp) stats compared to last year??? not saying that JW wont put up big numbers with a new OC but hes putting up HUGE numbers again this year with that Rusty-Azz Offense
Re: Kragthorpe
Jurich was obviously not all that pleased with Petrino's many flirtations over the years. Interviews with LSU, Auburn, etc. However, Petrino made Jurich's job much easier for one simple reason: He won, a lot. Just six months before leaving for Atlanta Petrino signed a 10 year contract extension and proclaimed "I am staying here in Louisville. My family loves it in Louisville, and thats where I plan to be." By splitting a few months after this assuring statement he burned a bridge with Jurich that probably can't be repaired. Many of our fans would love to have him back, but it just won't happen. Petrino will stay with the Falcons at least another 2-3 years no matter what. He should get a free pass this year due to the whole Mike Vick scenario. If Bobby P. does return back to the college ranks after his days in the NFL I expect it to be to the $EC - it seems as though he always had a pre-occupation with them. If, and this is a big if, this business of Krags to SMU does come to fruition it will be played out as this: Kragthorpe: "It pains me to leave Louisville after just one short year, but I feel as though this move is in the best interest of my family. In Dallas we will be much closer to our families in Utah and Oklahoma. I wish to thank Tom Jurch and all of the Louisville fans for this wonderful opportunity" Actual thoughts: "I'm glad to get the hell out of here. This season has been horrible, I just could not catch a break anywhere. I might be in a little over my head, and these Louisville fans can be brutal. Its not worth having my kids picked on in school because I've lost a few games that I really have no excuse for losing. This move to SMU will give me the fresh start I'm looking for." Jurich: "It's unfortunate to lose Steve so shortly after he arrived here, but I have to support him in his decision to do what he feels is best for his family." Actual thoughts: "Whew! Now all of these boosters will get off my back."
SMU doesnt even truely recognize itself in Dallas... University Park, Texas
Brohm's stats are pretty close to last season. I think his completion percentage is slightly lower at 67% than it was last year, but it's hard to complain about 67%. I don't remember his interception number last year, but I'm pretty sure it was lower than the 9 he has this year, something around 5 or 6 for the year comes to mind. I suspect his TD number is up as we don't run near the balanced offense that we ran last season.
you are right...and i was off...his stats are better all across the board, but his QB rating is down...
