So you really and truely believe the players had nothing do do with any 1 of those 3 losses?

No, I think the players had alot to do with it, I don't think you can ever say that the players/coaches deserve 100% of any blame. If our players were much better than theirs then maybe we could have overcome some of the bad coaching decisions. But what I do know is the players on the field in those three games would have won if Bennett had the ability to adapt to his personnel. The coaching staff deserves 100% of the blame for not knowing how to control a clock with a 14 point lead. 100% of the blame for not figuring out that our secondary can't play man, and still forcing them to play it by rushing 6 and 7. 100% of the blame for not teaching Willis how to tuck the ball when he takes off. The list is pretty long. Even with injuries, we should have been a 5&6/6&5 team, and that's what's killing me.

The fact is that Kevin Smith could have run for 350 yards if UCF had wanted him too-just like Forte ran for over 300 just like NTSU had 601 with a WR over 300. SMU defense sucked yesterday-it will suck next week-it will suck next year when Superman gets here until we get some talent on defense. Sit back and enjoy.

You sir, are an idiot. You attack my point assuming I don't realize they have more talent than us. I do. This is just another case of Stallion living in his own egocentric world. I was making an observation that SMU ran the same base defense almost the entire game. How do you derive that I don't know anything about football? Good coaches upgrade talent and do a good job coaching on the field.

Stallion thinks he is knows all, yet he knows not that he is the idiot.

I don't believe that Willis is uncoachable. It does concern me that he has taken a step back this season. With a legit QB coach, and a legit Line coach to help with blocking, I bet he has a better year next season.

Hes actually having a better year this year than last year...it just doesnt seem like it because of that 1 and only win...Trust me...hes not uncoachable but he does way to much and tries to put the game in his hands EVERY time...the new coach will have him in check..."dont lose games for us or dont play games for us"

I agree that has to happen. Though outside of being able to control the clock, offense hasn't really been our issue all season. Can't wait to see how the new coach handles the defense. Will say I'm damn glad we didn't hire Todd Dodge to fix our D.

He's running the same defense that he ran at A&M and K-State. Those schools could pull in fast outside linebackers and athletic corners to make teams fear the blitz. We've never been able to truly pull that off, and he's never adjusted.

And he never came close to recruiting any top notch d-linemen when he was here. Haywood was probably the best player and he fell into their lap.

Bring back Schumann as DC. He at least knew how to adapt his defensive schemes to match his player's abilities.
