You should have been on here after the Rice lost last year.

I believe Bomar is hurt so Sam and they aren't drawing crowds like that anymore. I'll be curious to see how many fans Rice draws against their old coach at Tulsa. Hopefully it's more than the 11K announced for the Tulane game.
News flash: it WAS a Thursday night. Sam Houston State is not as much of a 'suitcase college' as it was when I was there...yes, there are still students who go home on the weekends to Houston and other areas nearby. And, yes...Bomar is hurt (knee)...out for the season with surgery scheduled soon...expected to return for spring practice with full recovery for his senior year. Attendance at SHSU games is still better than what SMU draws. ;)

Ignore him. He's been on this kick that a oft-repeated comments about facilities helping recruiting are wrong, so he likes to say that anything negative about SMU football is because we have the most beautiful stadium in the state. Somewhere, he's hoping to find someone who thinks it's funny.

That's a more accurate figure. I kept thinking if we crammed everyone at the same into my highschool stadium bleachers we might be able to add the staff, players and security as well.
