He was there for 3 years. Did it with someone elses players. Recruiting is what I see as SMU's biggest problem. Something I think most of you aren't recognizing.

I love it how a coach isn't good enough for Louisville is money for us.

What pisses me of is Krag is something that started in this chat room based on a 20 questions hint from thecollegerumormill.com. nothing more. I hope Krapthorpe goes to jail so this deal will fail. I used to be gung-ho bennett. Never thought I would have to fall back on Barnett, but right now barrnett is looking like Belecheck

he lost to Bennett but also won a conference championship and took a 1-10 team (sound familiar) and made it a 8-4 team the next year?
I would love a big name coach that is a constant winner but realistically we aren't goign to get one so how about getting a coach who turned a program located in a small [deleted] town like Tulsa into a winner?

UH.............Realisticaly we can get Barnett. Only problem is people like you who want a garbage coach.

I would love to get Barnett, but Kragthorpe is not a garbage coach.

And just so we can put the stupid Krag is only a couple games above .500, so is Barnett (85-82).
And never mind that Barnett very nearly got Colorado's program shut down for misconduct.

Typical SMU Coach Search: Exciting names get thrown around, proven coaches want to come here, and we go the let's give a nice unproven guy a shot rout. Come on, at this stage in SMU Football history, is it really worth taking this kind of risk?
MY issue with Krapthorpe is the following:
1. Lacks Big Name (for recruiting)
2. Only History is 3 ok years at Tulsa
3. Being run out of a modern Big East team

Couldn't the same be said of Tommy Bowden?

i guess if you look past the fact hes a proven winner, especially in CUSA, won a CUSA title, has taken a gutter team to the top...i guess he can be a garbarge coach
PUT DOWN THAT CRACK PIPE WHITNEY!!!

Just know J.T., that by supporting Krapthorpe you had a small part in the downfall of SMU Football.
