Please. Dickerson is "assisting" the search about as much as the so-called search committee is.

If there's any truth to this, I'm sure it's just Orsini making Dickerson feel like he's part of the process. Same with the search committee. It just gives the impression this is more than a one-man show, but in reality it is.

Now, James is a different subject because it's his job to stay on top of college football. He may actually have some useful information.

exactly. it's a 'feel good' situation. let him sit in on a brainstorming session.

it's smart of orsini - we need to connect to some tradition
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

I'm glad to hear (OK, read) that you feel that way, and I hope it's true.

Because when you write things like this:

bigdaddy08091 wrote:Available coaches with more than one option don't choose SMU.

and this:

bigdaddy08091 wrote:We aren't a program thats on the list of most proven HC's.

and this:

bigdaddy08091 wrote:The biggest mistake we made this past season was to have 9 televised games and the stupid pony up campaign.

... it sure sounds like you're putting down the program.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting what you're saying. If that's the case, I apologize.

You are misinterpreting SMU. I am just keeping it real. Facts are just facts. We are one of the last programs coaches are looking at. I sorry, but its just the truth. Nine televised games and the pony up campaign were a little premature for a program that hadn't had a winning season in 18 years. This is why we need a HC with the capabilities of building a program (longterm) not using it as a stepping stone. We have been stepped on enough.

JT I have been consistent with everthing I have ever said and remain consistent. You on the other hand don't know which way you want to go. I have consistently said that our program and facilities are pound for pound the best in the country. Now I have hammered on the admin and some fans and will continue until this mess (culture) is changed. Because until it is changed we will continue to suck for years to come. If you don't think so, tell everybody what is gonna change it?

Ok, we were 6-5. No bowl appearance or conference championship. Losing season to me, but thats just the kind of fan I am. I expect more from the best university in the land.

But the only reason that Dickerson came to SMU is because we would pay him more than other schools would........should we really be concerned with this thoughts on this matter? At least James came to SMU because of the "triangle" that is so abundant on campus!

You are so full of [deleted]! CJ hasn't been involved in the so called triangle since he left. We tarnished his name and visa versa. Where do people come up with this [deleted]?
