My god...I agree with you...even Stevie Wonder could see what's about to happen if SMU hires Coker.

What would happen? Would be be worse than 1-11? Would we not go to a bowl game? would the stadium be empty? You guys are out of control. You should be excited that real coaches who are proven are on the list at SMU....instead you are all naysayers. Very disappointing. You are not interested in success only in complaining. It is easy to complain....hard to win.

I cannot agree with you any more than I do at this moment.

Coker would be a WOW hire, or as much of one as we're going to get.
I can't believe that people are talking about how awesome Barnett was, did you forget the scandals he brought to Colorado?
Did you forget how he threw one of his former players under a bus? (albeit a kicker & a girl, but alass I digress).
Or how about Rick N, the Coordinator from Washington, he ended his career there on a real series of positive notes. Not to mention the stellar performance he's giving at his current job. (Miami Has 1 win, you can guess who it was against)

Tell me how many candidates we have interested in us. Then tell me how many won a national Title, and was robbed of a second one the next year (That was seriously the most bull$#!+ call I've ever seen). After that please tell me which guy(s) had 35 wins in 3 years at any level.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that that's a short list.
Probably begins with Co and ends with ker.

Seriously, If you take his wins/losses and invert them (losses/wins) you get something that vaguely resembles our record over the past 6 years. Considering the fact that we've been off the bottom ten for 2 of those six years, don't get upset if I just happen to give this guy the thumbs up.

Now, my one request if you happen to disagree, is that you put down the name of someone else who wants to coach at SMU and has a better record.

Amen. My sentiments exactly. We have some of the most ridiculous naysayers on this board anywhere. Orsini knows what he is doing. Give the man a chance.

I don't think Orsini knew what he was getting into. I don't blame the lack of interest on him but I do think his plan was poor and poorly executed. He gets a big F for the way he has handled this entire ordeal.

He should only get an F if he doesn't turn this program around. He shouldn't be graded until we see the results. But your huge signature gets a D-.

Good call. He may bring in a good coach and starts to turn it around. Who knows. In the mean time, I like being featured on PTI, Fox sports, etc.

Great point! When have we ever been featured on sports shows on major networks! It is great. Let's [deleted] if we get featured for hiring the medical trainer from Mount Pleasant High School as our head coach. Until then...keep the faith and be proud that we are mentioned in the national sports media.

I would be very happy with Coker, Gailey, Bowden. All 3 available right now. All 3 are WOW hires. Coker should have had a 2nd National Championship if it wasn't for that BS Pass Interference Call in the End Zone against Ohio State. It was such BS.

Wish there was somebody younger though.
