So, since this thread is about the starting lineup...

Does anyone else think we might want to start Vincent Chase at left tackl over Beachum? I'm sure the assessments about Beachum's high potential are true - I never got over there for practice this year, just the Red/Blue game, and that wasn't enough to really form an opinion - but word is Beachum needs to get much stronger, while Chase is extremely strong and has four years in the trenches under his belt.

Am I crazy on this?

I hope Chase can get to at least 280 at a minimum and start there.

Slept through most of class (understandable for our athletes who have to be up at 5AM) when he did show up but all in all wasn't a bad guy. For his sake and the sake of our team (because I do believe Justin Willis can help us) I hope he's learned his lesson. In my book actions speak louder than words. His actions hurt not only himself, but more importantly, his team. What have we heard JJ talk about constantly since he's been here? The TEAM factor, the WE factor. Justin screwed up big time. However, like I said, he has and deserves a chance to redeem himself. I want Justin Willis to be here and be our starting QB, but I want what is best for this team. That means I want the other guys in that locker room to have complete faith that Justin isn't going to let them down again by being a punk. He needs to prove beyond any doubt that he is a changed man and ready to work harder than all the other QB's to get the starting job back. If he does all that then strap it up and sling it around.

so you had a class with him and he slept in the class. sounds like to me you didnt really get a fair chance to truly evaluate his character as "ok". I have hung out with him several times and he was really a nice guy. however,i do agree with you that he needs to earn his respect but I wouldn't go as far to call him a punk. You have to remember that he was kicked off for not going to study hall which Bennet never made him do anyway. I think he's realized his mistake and is willing to redeem himself and I think JJ has these same sentiments.
