yea we all know Brennan wont hit the field once the season begins but I think he sowed up that 3rd string spot. Zorn loves this kid and what he did in that one quarter of garbage time was pretty good.

i think the main thing to take from this is that OUR current head coach's last QB is in the NFL. 3rd string or not, that's an accomplishment when you consider how many QB's actually make it to that level of play. Remember, Tony Romo was a 3rd string QB at one point.
June's teams at Hawaii have put quite a few players into the NFL, and I hope that he brings that to SMU.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Out of shear curiosity, did Bennet ever send a QB to the nfl?
I know I could research this, but...it's a Tuesday.

Not only did Bennett send a QB to the NFL, he sent one to MTV. He just had the NFLer make a stop elsewhere on the way.

Bartel and McCown are both in the NFL and Luker went to MTV.

Well, he sort of sent Bartel to the NFL by letting him go play somewhere else...I'm sure if he would have stayed here he would've ridden the bench the whole time.

ok lets get past this credit by mere association, he sent no QB's who ever were recruited by him or played 4 years under him

No. Bennett pretty much sucked all around.
But he was a nice guy

My point exactly. I would bet had both of them stayed at SMU neither of them would have made it to the NFL.
